Summary of ACE
ACE is an acronym for Accounts, Contacts, and Events. This is a process for managing contacts and scheduling events by starting on the Accounts page. In short it looks like this:
Accounts page Click "View" to the left of provider Review/Edit Account details Scroll down to Contacts Manage Contacts scroll down to Events Schedule events
In other words, everything you need to do with Accounts, Contacts, or Events can be done from within the Account Details view for a selected account. The acronym, ACE, also suggests the logical order for working with accounts, contacts and events.
Following the ACE process provides the additional benefit of confirming the association between your account and the correct contacts as you go. In fact, the ACE process ties many components together, unifying contacts and accounts to any events, call notes, or expenses.
Checking your Accounts
Validate your accounts
Validate your accounts - Let's keep this simple. You need to look at your list of currently assigned accounts to make sure that all of the accounts you are currently working have been assigned to you. If you know of an account that is not in your "My Accounts" view, you need to request the account.
To see the accounts assigned to you, you will need to click on the "Accounts" button in the left navigation in Marketscape CRM. Your accounts will appear in the table. | |
Click on the "Showing View" dropdown to select "My Accounts"
|
|
At this point, you can see your accounts in the table on the Accounts page. The image above is from a demo account that has a small number of accounts. You will probably have a lot more, so you might want to use the Display dropdown to reveal more or all of your accounts to make it easier to browse |
|
You can also use the table search to look for specific accounts. Add the name to the search field, then click the "Go" button. Click on image to the right to enlarge if needed. |
|
In many cases, you will come across multiple accounts that have identical names, addresses and NPIs in the database. In order to differentiate between two accounts that appear identical, you will need to create a duplicate view to show more columns in the table. |

What to look for
Your approach to validating your accounts will vary. If you already have a written or digital list of your accounts, you can check your list, line by line, against the CRM, maybe using the table search to find accounts by name or NPI. Then, create a list of accounts not in your "My Accounts" view. On the other hand, if you know all of your accounts in your head, you might be able to set the "Display" count (below the table) to 500 and scroll through the list jotting down any missing accounts.
Bottom line - you still have choices, either make a list of missing accounts, and then request ownership, or request ownership as you find each missing account.
Searching for missing accounts
When you don't see one of your accounts in the "My Accounts" view on the Accounts page, there are two places where you can go to find those accounts.
On the Accounts Page
If you click on the "Showing View" dropdown and select "All Accounts," this will reveal all organizations that your company has set up as accounts. In this case you can see from the images below that Promedica is not visible as one of my accounts, but is visible in the "All Accounts" view. You will need to request ownership of that account.
"My Accounts" view | "All Accounts" view |
On the Market Spotlight page
Open Market Spotlight by clicking on the Market Spotlight button in the left navigation |
Since you are looking for an account, you will need to click on the Facilities tab at the top of the page.
Then you can add the name or NPI of the account for which you are looking in the search field (arrow).
You can then browse the table for the desired organization.
When you find the missing account in the Market Spotlight table, you will then need to request ownership.
