If your Trella CRM events keep disappearing from Outlook or Google Calendar, or your changes keep getting undone, here's why — and how to fix it for good.
Quick answer Most of these issues come down to one thing: the calendar link was Imported instead of Subscribed. Re-adding the link the right way (steps below) resolves it permanently. |
Symptom: Events don't show up, or disappear over time
Likely cause: Your calendar link was added as an Import (sometimes called "Open as New") instead of a Subscribe. An import copies your calendar one time only — it never checks Trella CRM for updates again.
Fix it
- Delete the old, imported calendar from Outlook or Google Calendar.
- Go back to your Trella CRM profile and copy your calendar subscription link again.
- In Outlook or Google Calendar, choose Subscribe (not Import or Open as New) when you add the link.
- Give it a clear name, like “From Trella CRM,” and save.
Once subscribed, your calendar checks Trella CRM on its own and stays current — no re-adding needed.
Symptom: Your changes keep reverting back
Likely cause: Calendar Subscription only flows one way: from Trella CRM into your calendar. If you edit or delete an event directly in Outlook or Google Calendar, that change doesn't save back to CRM — so the next time your calendar checks in, it pulls the original CRM version and your edit “reverts.”
Fix it
Make all event changes inside Trella CRM, not in Outlook or Google Calendar. Treat CRM as the single source of truth — your calendar app is just a read-only window into it.
Symptom: Updates take a while to show up
Likely cause: Update speed is controlled by your calendar app, not by Trella CRM. Some apps check every few minutes; “New Outlook” specifically checks only every 12–48 hours, and this delay can't be changed on either side.
Fix it
No action needed — the event is already saved correctly in CRM and will appear once your calendar app checks in. For the most up-to-date view at any moment, check the Trella CRM mobile app directly.
