Strict Referral Visibility Setting – Marketscape CRM

The referrals available for a user to see in the Referrals section of the application align with the user's role - setting those roles is discussed in the Role Management and Configuration article. When a user is set to "Self Only" the data available to see in Views in the Referrals section are only those referrals assigned to the user, however the referral information shown on an Account or Contact detail page is not restricted.

If your agency would like to ensure that a marketer is restricted to only view the referrals and patient information for those referrals they own across all Accounts and Contacts, you can enable Strict Referral Visibility. Strict Referral Visibility is an additional layer of security that limits the information shown on the Contact and Account detail pages.

This setting is enabled under Settings > System Setup

When Strict Referral Visibility is OFF and the Role Visibility for Referrals is "Self Only"

Referral Views

Marketer only sees the Referrals he/she own, regardless of if he/she owns the associated Account or Contact
Marketer can click through to any Referral he/she owns

Account and Contact Views

Marketer can see all Accounts and Contacts, including those they do not own

Account and Contact Detail Pages

A marketer can see all referrals on any Account or Contact - regardless of if they own the referral or the account/contact
- Dr. Smith (owned) & Referral W (owned) - referral is visible on detail page
- Dr. Smith (owned) & Referral X (not owned) - referral is visible on detail page
- Dr. Jones (not owned) & Referral Y (owned) - referral is visible on detail page
- Dr. Jones (not owned & Referral Z (not owned) - referral is visible on detail pageM

Marketer can only see referrals they own
