This FAQ addresses some of our most common client questions about Spark Mobile, and where to find more info within our Help Center as applicable.
If you have a question that you would like to add to this list, please let our Support Team know!
The mobile app was designed for rep efficiency and speed while out in the field. It provides quick access to records that you do not own, in a limited capacity.
Reps should be familiar with research features in both web and mobile, and a system should be coordinated internally for change processes that are outside the scope of a marketer’s role permissions and ownership.
Note: All of the steps below are driven by both role permissions and ownership, so will vary depending on the configuration settings determined by your PlayMaker Administrator.
How do I assign an existing contact's profile to a different account when that contact moves from one account to another?
If they have permission to edit a Contact they can click Edit and then the magnifying glass icon to change the account association.
What is the difference between All and My Accounts in mobile?
- My = your BOB
- Targeted = if the Targeted option is selected in the record details (like having a “star” or “favorite” contact)
- Recent = shows things that you have searched recently (even if that search was on the server)
- All = all the above records as well as any records the user is associated to through referral ownership or event ownership.
Why do some contacts show up on search server but not on regular search?
Because the mobile app only syncs your own BOB by default. When you are on mobile, you are only going to see “My Accounts” when you use Search on Device. Using Search on Server lets you search “All Accounts” and so other options appear.
Can a rep tell if a contact is associated to another account when searching contacts on the mobile app?
In web you have full visibility, but not in mobile. You can pull up the contact through Search on Server, and you can see that contact’s demographic info + any previous notes that you’ve owned, but you can’t see associations to other records (Accounts and Contacts) that you don’t own.
Why can I not see X Historical Notes in the mobile app?
Historical Notes will only show for the user that created them on the mobile app. Even if you are a shared owner on the Account, you would not see any historical notes unless you entered them.
Historical notes from other users are visible on the web app, should permission be granted by your administrator.
